Kototama and physics - Part Two

(Traduzione da cura di Alberto Casetta)

In the first article we saw that according to the understanding of O Sensei (and this is also a concept on which all the Eastern philosophy of Taoism is based on) the union between emptyness and fullness is the very essence of existence.
SU, the first vibration, generated the fullness (YU) and the emptiness (MU). The decomposition of SU is therefore the coexistence of MU and YU.

We can look at the issue in these terms:
SU= VIBRATION
if
MU + YU = SU
that means
EMPTINESS + FULLNESS = VIBRATION
and if
VIBRATION = ENERGY
then
SU = KI

SU is the essence of energy, KI is the essence of life and existence, SU has generated and, at the same time, is KI.

And here we are again facing a remarkable parallel with the theory of relativity of Einstein and quantum physics.

In physics, number 1 represents the unit. Zero represents the absolute emptiness.
What do we get by splitting the unit to infinity?

Western dualistic view (separation): We will find endless units. Because we know that numbers are infinite. So we need to imagine that we reached a certain point in which matter can no longer be divided in, and that the smallest part has still dimension, albeit minimal. This was what Newton had conceived, but quantum physics has denied this possibility.
In the experimental subatomic quantum physics, as we saw in the first part, matter does not exist as a substance. The elementary particle coexists between wave and particle. Something that "is and is not" at the same time.

Eastern unitarian view (union): Breaking down matter more and more, we will always find the same thing: the unity between emptiness and fullness, between what it is and what it was ... in other words, a magnetic field between stillness and movement (wave and particle) that generates energy.

Now suppose we identify a point (a position or a particle) that moves on a linear rect with a length of one unit.

Western dualistic view (separation): The particle in order to move from point 0 to point 1 must pass through the middle. To get to half will need to pass through the half of the half. And so on... forever. Theoretically, this point or particle, it should never reach the other side. But we know that it can get there. How?

Eastern unitarian view (union): As the point in which the particle is at a given moment is a point in common between the space covered and the one yet to cover, the middle is just an illusion due to the fact of dividing the two bits. The two parts are indivisible. To use a more appropriate term, one could say that when we find ourselves at the center, we are in an equidistant position from the beginning and the end, but this is only an illusion. The part left behind is the past, the one in front of us is the future, the bit in common is the present. And that means that it is both past and future.

Let's imagine ourselves to be on that line, while on this common position. The time passes, while we are on the last dimension of the past and at the same time we are in the first dimension of the future, in an eternal oscillation, this gives rise to the present, and while I think I'm at that point, because of the flow of time, I am already in the past and in the future. This principle is valid for any point on the line. The point where we are is an oscillation between past and future, between emptiness and fullness, between good and evil ... it is the living the moment, it is energy.

KI is the energy that comes from the fusion of solid and void, and all the opposites. KI is our present, KI is the fleeting moment, KI is the primordial state, KI is the SU of all things.

Dear Master Ueshiba, everything makes sense ...
